Schröder was not only co-producer of the movie “Werner 2 – Das muss kesseln”, he also served his friend Rötger Feldmann (“Brösel” – Werner comics & movies) as inspiration for the character “Nobelschröder” in Story & Film!

In an ice race against Bentley driver Nobelschröder, the two horsepower and fuel experts Werner and Andi wreck their snow sled. Nobelschröder also challenges them to a rematch. Werner’s pet pig Borsti is to be the prize. It goes without saying that Werner then tinkers with his own infernal machine in order to win the race

Background information on Schröder’s collaboration on the film “Robert Zimmermann wonders about love” (2008)
Diary Movie-production: The film clip shows a scene in which the film character Robert Zimmermann (played by Tom Schilling) meets the son of singer-songwriter Art Garfunkel Art Garfunkel Jr. in a bar. Schröder plays the barman in the scene, Art Garfunkel jr. himself.

That is what the movie is about:
“Robert Zimmermann wundert sich über die Liebe” is a German comedy film by Leander Haußmann from 2008. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Gernot Gricksch and tells the story of a 26-year-old computer game designer who falls in love with an older woman.
In 2007, the film received the screenplay prize at the Nordic Film Days Lübeck. Author Gernot Gricksch received the Bavarian Film Award for Best Screenplay in 2008. The soundtrack by the Berlin band Element of Crime was nominated for the German Film Award in 2009.

Detlef Buck and Claus Boje were producers of Leander Haußmann’s multi-award-winning film “Robert Zimmermann wonders about love” Detlev also took on a role (Eberhard) in the film. I played a barman in a short scene who has an encounter with the film character Robert Zimmermann and Art Garfunkel Jr.. <<<More information >>>
The magazine “CINEMA” verdict on the film at the time as follows: “Romantic comedy between brightly colored burlesque and feel-good cinema.”

In April 2024, I was in N.Y.C. with the Garfunkel family to celebrate Clive Davis’ ninety-two birthday. I’ve been friends with Art Garfunkel Jr. since his early youth. In 2008 we played a small scene in the Leander Haußmann movie mentioned above.
